August Derleth wrote 150 books during his literary career, and he edited 41 more, making him the most prolific writer of our times. His work encompasses a wide range of styles and genres. His Sac Prairie and wisconsin Sagas have become literary landmarks, and include novels, short stories, poetry, journals, and miscellaneous prose. He was also a well-respected writer of biographies and hostories, books for young readers, detective novels, and macabre and supernatural fiction that is in great demand by collectors.

The listings of his books are by year of publication. Indexes cross reference titles alphabetically and group them by category. Complete bibliographical data is also given for all issues of the 15 year run of the August Derleth Society newsletter.
