Now, a new look at the Christian's life with Jesus. Could that even be possible? YES, but the view is as old as Jesus Himself!

Jesus said: "I know my sheep and my sheep know me," also "Feed my lambs/sheep." Jn. 10 & 21.

Jesus actually called His followers "sheeps/lambs." Why? To my knowledge, noone has explored that image, nor tried to discover why Jesus used it. Moreover, Jesus certainly knew that there would be times like ours in which many would be unfamiliar with farm animals.

Just because most believers are "out of touch" with the lifestyle of Jesus' times, that should not rule out learning why Jesus called believers "sheep".

The writer has been shepharded into discovering that Jesus' "sheep" image contains basic truths. As the "basics" are applied, they increasingly satisfy every persons basic needs, and give every believer the "WAY" for living their Christian life - daily.

For nearly 30 years, Mel enjoyed farm life in Alberta, with some brief periods away. When he felt "called" to our Lord's ministry, school was finished and "Degrees" acquired. The Lutheran Seminaries in Saskatoon and Waterloo provided good pastoral training. While on internship at St. Matthew's Hanover, Ontario, Alma and Mel were married. That's when Mel became a husband, step-father and grandfather all on the same day!

While Pastoring, the author also taught various trades persons and some post secondary students at Conestoga College, Guelph Campus full time. Now Alma and Mel have 8 grandchildren and 2 great grand-daughters and enjoy retirement in Waterloo, Ontario.
